Below are the installation guidelines and specifications that relate to our range of products. If you require something over and above what you see here, or if you have any questions at all, please get in touch. Natural stone is a technical product and it is important to get the installation right, from the substrate preparation through to the appropriate choice and application of adhesives and sealers. We would much rather answer questions in advance of an installation than field calls about how to remedy something afterwards!
As a general rule, for natural stone installations we recommend a two-part adhesive system to C2-S2 standard (EN 12002 and EN 12004) to provide maximum strength and deformability. We consider that the majority of stone installations require sealing. The choice of sealer will depend on the type of stone, the environment in which the stone is being laid and the associated risk factors such as potential for spills/staining, exposure to moisture, salts, acids, etc.
